Lexus service in Athens, from people who know the brand
A Lexus is a Toyota with more polish. It has the same strong engines and the same few weak spots. We know each one. Our owner James Miner is an ASE Master Technician with over 50 years on imports.
Many Lexus drivers come to us from Oconee County and Watkinsville. They want careful work from people they know. Call 706-353-3880 to book.

Common Lexus problems we fix
Timing cover oil leak
The 3.5 V6 in the RX and ES can leak oil from the timing cover. It is the big seal at the front of the engine. A slow drip grows over time. We check it and lay out the options.
Water pump leaks
The Lexus water pump wears out with age. It leaks pink coolant from a small hole. Then the engine runs warm. We replace the pump and the drive belt.
Sticky dashboard
Some Lexus dashboards from 2006 to 2010 turn sticky and shiny in the sun. The IS, ES and RX are known for it. It does not affect the drive. We can go over it at your next visit.
Oil cooler line on the RX350
The 2007 to 2009 RX350 used a rubber oil cooler line. It can burst and dump the oil fast. We replace it with the updated metal line.
Worn struts and bushings
A Lexus rides soft. The struts and control arm bushings wear over the miles. You feel more bounce and hear a clunk. We replace them and align the car.
Brake wear on the GX and LX
The GX and LX are heavy trucks. Their brakes wear faster than a sedan. A pulse in the pedal means the rotors are warped. We fit parts made for the weight.

Why is my Lexus leaking oil?
On the V6 models, the timing cover is the common leak. Valve cover gaskets leak too. On a 2007 to 2009 RX350, check the oil cooler line right away. We trace the leak and seal it.
Why is my Lexus dashboard sticky?
The dash material breaks down in heat and sun. Lexus models from 2006 to 2010 are known for it. It does not affect safety. Ask us and we can go over the options.
Do you service the Lexus RX?
Yes. The RX is the Lexus we see most. We handle oil service, brakes, struts, water pumps and leaks. We also service the all wheel drive system.
Can you fix a pink coolant leak on my Lexus?
Yes. Pink coolant means a Toyota or Lexus leak. The water pump is the usual source. We test the system under pressure and replace what is leaking.
