Japanese Cars service in Athens, from people who know the brand

Japanese cars are known for long life. They still need care. Fluids, timing belts, water pumps and brakes wear like any other car. We keep them on schedule so they run for years.

The owner, James Miner, is an ASE Master Technician. He has worked on Japanese cars since the 1970s. Back then, Datsun and Toyota were still new to most drivers here. Call 706-353-3880 and we will set a time.

Owner tip: Keep a log of oil changes and fluid changes for your Japanese car. Check the oil level once a month. Change the CVT fluid every 30,000 miles if your car has one. Use the coolant your brand calls for. Do not skip the timing belt on an older engine.

Common Japanese car problems we fix

CVT wear

Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Honda all use CVT transmissions now. They need fresh fluid more often than the maker says. We change it on time and test for shudder.

Oil use between changes

Some Toyota, Subaru and Honda engines use oil between changes. A low level can ruin an engine. We check the level and show you how to check it too.

Timing belts on older engines

Older Honda, Toyota, Subaru and Mitsubishi engines use a timing belt. It is due around 100,000 miles. We replace it with the water pump.

Water pump leaks

Japanese water pumps wear out with age. Coolant weeps from the pump body. We replace it and refill with the right coolant for the brand.

Bearings and suspension

Wheel bearings hum, struts bounce and sway bar links clunk. These are the most common jobs on high mileage Japanese cars. We handle them every week.

Converters and sensors

Older Nissan, Infiniti and Toyota models set codes for converters and oxygen sensors. We test first, then replace only what failed. Sometimes a sensor is all it needs.
